For our latest web design project, we were given the opportunity to create a brand new website, for a company very local to us – Milanet.co.uk
Based in the same village as Bamboo Media, just outside Wakefield, Milanet are an IT solutions company with over 20 years experience of providing IT support, specialising in education, providing services such as support, installation, networking and procurement to schools across the region.
We were approached by Milanet to provide a completely new website and were given the freedom to come up with a new design, that would look equally good on any device. From our initial chat through to proposal, Milanet were impressed with our attention to detail and personal touch; as a small operation, we firmly believe that this is where we can add value. Added to our budget-beating pricing, our proposal was accepted and we got to work.
It’s always nice to work with a client who’s willing to give full creative control to what is effectively a blank canvas and it’s these projects that give us the most satisfaction. From the off, we looked to design a responsive-first site, which was just as easy to use on a mobile device as on a desktop PC.
Calling on our extensive web design experience, we carefully developed a responsive, clean design, that fitted the brand and ethos of the company, focusing especially on performance and end-user experience. By making use of the most modern web design techniques, we were able to provide a finished product that was attractive but non-bloated, giving a top performing website, which rates over 90 for both mobile and desktop versions, when tested against Google’s industry-standard Pagespeed Insights tool.
